Love this place! Why haven't you guys opened back up? I'm sure you guys had the best clam chowder! We've started going back there to SF since the pandemic has slowed down and haven't found a place that compares to yours/: Makes me feel like why take time to go down to San Francisco anymore/: We come from Fontana/Rancho area down by LA. Hope to hear of your reopening soon(: There were meals there that I did not agree with that were too costly and not enough food for two when they said they were... But again the clam chowder bowls there are great just the right amount of clams with everything else added and not watery also the bread dipping Olive oil sauce with chili and onion chips is the best. I do miss it

Restaurant may've been closed but, I have two living Dungeness Crabs chillin' in my fridge. The only hang up was when I felt profiled by the saleswoman. I am not cut from the ordinary bolt of cloth, she looked at me like the price point was gonna send me running for the hills. I replied, [more, subtly, "Pack it up Pack it in Let me Begin'] ...We transacted the deal after her co-worker retrieved her spectacles. "Get Up, Stand Up, Jump Around!" We had started with jokes about the Crab that had half crawled out of the tank, "Jump Around, Jump Around," So today, I left the ole SIP domicile and the recliner of quarantine for a walk about, got breakfast and shrewdly packaged 90% for to going home. I was almost to my home when I saw an Overnight FedEx courier arrive. "House of Pain is in Effect Y'all," she had me unlock doors before yielding my precious cargo...

Relatives in town and I was informed that they made reservations for Alioto's. I was not overly enthusiastic, figuring it would be another one of the over-rated and over-priced Fish-Wharf restaurants that cater to tourists. Well, it's not cheap,...but I didn't have to pay so we'll leave aside. We were very lucky, because someone in our party new one of the waiters. That seemed to help a lot. We feasted!!!! The fried calamari was very good!! I had an excellent Caesar salad with more anchovies than I could possibly eat (but I tried). I had these little shrimp cups that were like the best shrimp scampi I ever had but without the pasta. My friend had a roasted crab, which was superb (height of local crab season) and my sister had an awesome bowl of butternut squash soup (spend the extra $$ to add the crab). A couple of people had the cioppino and loved it. Overly, a very, very nice experience.

Great view of the water. I ordered the lunch lobster sandwich with fries . My friend ordered the Sole and salad. We checked in to yelp and got free calamari. The sandwich was excellent I recommend ordering it with drawn butter for dipping. The sole was served fried. The calamari was excellent and it was served with both marina sauce and tartar sauce. The tartar is my favorite for dipping.
